Sarah Corson Child Care Center

The child care center is a memorial in the name of Sarah Corson who died in Tokyo, Japan in 1997. This young woman was raised in the First Presbyterian Church and loved children. Her parents generously gave the initial funds to start this project. Many others contributed toward this $1.6 million dollar project. Sarah is pictured here with her two nieces, Mallory and Madeline, who are now young adults.

The Sarah Corson Child Care & Learning Center has been in operation since 2001. The facility was purpose-built as a child care facility and is a state of the art, licensed child care institution providing quality childcare for for children as young as six weeks of age.

“We commit ourselves to God’s youngest children, to provide loving and appropriate child care based on Judeo-Christian principles. We are a safe haven for children of all backgrounds, a place of self-discovery and world awareness. Here children will be taught that love and respect belong to all people. We will encourage children to go into the world and share their unique individual gifts, given by God, with their families, their church, and their neighbors.”

Our philosophy is as follows:

“The Sarah Corson Child Care & Learning Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of children. Through a secure and warm environment, we strive to promote self-esteem and involve each child at his or her various developmental stages. We support the family as it encourages each child’s special worth.”

We are in our sixteenth year of operation (we opened our doors in May of 2001), and we offer care for children 6 weeks through 5 years. At the Sarah Corson Center, 98% of our children are fully immunized and 2% have a non-medical exemption from all vaccines.
